Continuous misuse of antibiotics put the human system at risk

The danger of antibiotics resistance is the focus of a one day workshop that took place in Nkwen, Bamenda on the 21st of July 2019. Organized by women’s health forum Bamenda, the workshop provided a platform for participants to discuss the quality of good sanitary pads, and most importantly, how to stay away from the misuse of antibiotics. Naikom Palace, homes and shops in Wum set ablaze

Naikom palace, homes and stores have been burnt by Mbororos in Wum. Apparently avenging the death of one of theirs on sunday night and the razing of some Mbororo homes in Upkwa village in Wum last week. According to inhabitants, the attackers rode around town with bikes and machetes calling for an end to ghost towns. They have accused pro-independent fighters. It is not yet certain if any human life was lost. Inhabitants of Wum have lived in darkness for months now, depending only on generators, solar and bush lamps. World No Tobacco Day: Cameroon Consumer Foundation calls on the government to ban smoking in public places

As part of the World No Tobacco day campaign to raise awareness on the effects of tobacco, the Cameroon Consumer Foundation (FOCACO) has called on the government of Cameroon to place an effective ban on smoking in public places for health reasons. This is through an open letter to the ministries of public health, Dr Manaouda Malachi and another addressed to the minister of Trade, Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana to push for the ban. NW security forces opens investigation into the burnings of houses in UPKWA village in Wum

Investigations have been opened by the defense and security forces to track the perpetrators that attacked the Lake NYOS resettlement camp in UPKWA village in Wum sub dividion, Menchum divison, where they burnt more than 40 houses, tortured the inhabitants, slaughtered animals and looted properties.
